1:47 AM · Sep 24, 2023

Mercy Foundation’s Up2UsNow Child Abuse Prevention Coalition and Douglas County Human Trafficking Task Force are hosting “Challenge of the Heroes” on Thursday, September 28, at participating restaurants throughout Douglas County. This event supports Up2UsNow child abuse prevention efforts and the Douglas County human trafficking programs. Please join Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, EMTs, and the Army National Guard – all local heroes – as they challenge each other to earn the most tips for our Community Violence Prevention initiatives while you enjoy delicious food from our local participating restaurants. “This is such a fun event. It provides an opportunity for our community to dine out, meet and thank our local heroes for all they do in our community, while supporting child abuse prevention projects. It will be a great night!” says Marion Pearson, Violence Prevention Specialist, Up2UsNow Human Trafficking Task Force.
