Construction is underway at the Umpqua Valley Tennis Center as part of the renovation that will bring eight new tennis courts, 10 dedicated pickleball courts, upgraded lighting, fencing, and seating to Stewart Park by fall. The long-anticipated project is being funded through state, city, and community contributions, with prices remaining low and youth play still free. The courts closed on May 20 and are expected to reopen in early October.
