DFPA News Release: Industrial Fire Precaution Level 3 Takes Effect Tuesday

Industrial operators working on lands protected by the Douglas Forest Protective Association will be required to follow stricter fire prevention regulations starting Tuesday, July 30, at 12:01 a.m. when Industrial Fire Precaution Level III (IFPL 3) goes into effect throughout the entire Douglas District. IFPL III requires logging, road building and other industrial operations working in forests and wildland areas to shut down most equipment by 1:00 p.m. The increase in industrial fire restrictions are necessary to prevent wildfires, as fire conditions across the Douglas Districts continue to deteriorate.
