Douglas County Youth Orchestra – Now Enrolling!

The Douglas County Youth Orchestra, sponsored by the Umpqua Symphony Association, is currently accepting new students for the upcoming season. This exceptional program provides high-quality music education to youth in Douglas County, with instruction from professional musicians and a strong commitment to accessibility. Program highlights include open enrollment for students ages 8 and up (exceptions may be made for 6 and 7-year-olds), sectional classes with Eugene Symphony musicians, beginner classes starting Tuesdays at 4:30 PM, need-based scholarships, stringed instruments available for rent (limited supply), and no-cost private lessons for all registered students under 21. Tuition for the 2025–26 season is \$110 for one student, \$220 for two students, and \$260 for three or more students. Instrument rental rates are \$10 per month for violin or viola, \$15 for cello, and \$25 for bass.
