Gas Tanker Catches Fire at Fred Meyer Gas Station on Garden Valley

(RFD) Firefighters responded this afternoon to a reported fuel tanker on fire at the Fred Meyer gas station. The tanker was carrying 11,400 gallons of gas and diesel. The fire, which was located in the rear portion of the tanker, was believed to be caused by the brakes. Firefighters extinguished the fire using approximately 500 gallons of water and foam. The fire was contained to the trailer. There was no tank breach or exposures.
