Red Flag Warning Issued for Douglas County - July 6

The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a Red Flag Warning for many areas of Douglas County today, Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 3pm until 8pm. This is due to relatively low humidity, high temperatures and strong gusty winds. This combination of weather factors increases the potential for fast moving wildfires. Please avoid anything that creates a spark or open flame. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon for strong gusty winds and low relative humidity. There are several Public Use Restrictions in effect on private and public lands to minimize the wildfire threat.
