RHS Cross Country Team Shines in Season Opener at Stewart Park

Today was the first home RHS cross country meet of the season in Stewart Park in Roseburg. "I am so proud of our entire team for competing today," said Roseburg High School Cross Country coach, Nathan Eckman. "It was boiling today, and our athletes battled through some incredibly difficult running conditions. I loved watching our packs form and how they supported each other.” Eckman said. Eckman highlighted two stand out performances for Roseburg. “Joseph Latham and Riley McLaughlin led our boys' and girls' Varsity teams. Both Joseph and Riley had outstanding opening 5ks for the season, with Joseph finishing second in a great time of 17:26 — a time that Joseph didn't pass until mid-October last season. Meanwhile, Riley's time of 22:37 was 32 seconds faster than her time at this meet last year." said Eckman. The next home cross country meet for Roseburg High School is October 23rd, 2024 (10/23).
