Roseburg Basketball Club to Host Timber Town Classic Tournament Presented by Toyota

January 10, 2025 - Roseburg, OR – The Roseburg Basketball Club (RBC) is excited to announce the inaugural Timber Town Classic basketball tournament, presented by Toyota, taking place on January 18th and 19th in Roseburg. The Timber Town Classic will bring together 4th-8th grade boys and girls teams from across Western Oregon. “We are thrilled to host the Timber Town Classic in Roseburg this year and bring together athletes, families, and fans from across the region,” said Joe Newton, RBC’s co-founder and Vice-President. “When we started Roseburg Basketball Club last year, we had a dream of hosting a tournament in Roseburg, and it is exciting to see this dream coming true.” Tournament games will be held at the Roseburg High School, Fremont Middle School and Joseph Lane Middle School gymnasiums. RBC has received strong support from several local sponsors, including Clint Newell Toyota, Dutch Bros and Timber Country Coca-Cola. “We are so grateful for the incredible support of local partners and sponsors,” added Aden Bliss, RBC’s co-founder and President. “This tournament wouldn’t be possible without them.” Tickets for the Timber Town Classic can be purchased at the game sites, where snacks and refreshments will also be for sale. Tickets are $5 for those 8+, anyone 7 or under is admitted for free. “This tournament is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the talent of our local athletes while fostering a sense of community pride,” added Newton. “Our vision is that the Timber Town Classic is more than just a tournament…we want it to be a celebration of community and athletic excellence.” Start time is expected to be 9am but final schedule will be released on the Roseburg Basketball Club website as soon as it's available.
