School District Seeking Sponsors for RHS Sports Complex

Feb. 5, 2024 — With the goal of maintaining athletic resources and supporting students, Roseburg School District is seeking businesses or community organizations and groups interested in sponsoring Roseburg High School’s developing sports complex. The district will be accepting proposals for sponsorship of the sports complex, including Finlay Field and the softball field under construction behind the football stadium that is on track for the spring season. The Roseburg School Board of Directors adopted a policy on commercial advertising in 2020, recognizing the opportunity to better support athletics and other programs through additional revenue streams. “Our students deserve access to safe and quality athletic facilities,” said Superintendent Jared Cordon. “We are committed to finding creative ways to fund upkeep and maintenance of our field spaces as we continue to invest in what are essentially large outdoor classrooms.” The district invites businesses or community organizations and groups to reach out if interested in the sponsorship opportunity. In addition to the sponsorship, the district is interested in selling advertising signage packages. Proposals will be brought to the School Board for public discussion.
