Several Recent Cougar Incidents East of Sutherlin

Update: Last night a cougar cub was hit and killed by a car on Nonpareil Rd out east of Sutherlin. The driver of that car also spotted two other cougar cubs along with a full grown adult female cougar at the scene. Mother cougars are known to kill excessive animals/livestock when teaching their cubs to hunt. Then, this morning a cougar was seen on Fir Vista Road after it killed two sheep. I know the many of the residents in that area already know about these incidents but I just wanted to share here to raise general awareness. File photo - Priscilla Du Preez
