The Days Creek volleyball lost to St. Paul in straight sets in the 1A state semifinals at Ridgeview High School in Redmond Friday.

Ashtyn Slater had 10 kills for Days Creek (28-3). “St. Paul was a very good team very well rounded,” Days Creek coach Gloria Kruzic said. “We did some good stuff. Just couldn’t seem to get it going and keep it going.” Days Creek will play Country Christian on Saturday at noon in the 3rd/5th place match. The Wolves defeated Perrydale in straight sets in the quarterfinal that started at 10 a.m. on Friday to advance to the semifinal that was played at 1 p.m. Days Creek had about an hour to prepare after beating Perrydale before playing in the semifinal. Set scores were 25-20, 25-15, 25-15 against Perrydale. Michaels had seven kills and 10 digs while Crume had 18 kills and six digs. Slater had 13 kills while Megan added 32 assists.
