The People Behind Every Story

Last night my boys and I had rode to Taco Bell when we came across a bad motorcycle accident off of Garden Valley Blvd. I could tell it was bad even though the person had already left in an ambulance. The man had crashed into the building and hit his head and had been unconscious. I snapped a photo of the scene and made a post with a few of the details. I then encouraged people to pray for the man because I knew he and his family needed it. It's a moment when community support is needed the most. A few minutes later a buddy of mine reached out to me and suggested that it might be best to take the photo down, just to be sensitive to the mans family and friends. I agree and took it down. Today a relative of the man reached out to me and thanked me for the post and prayers. The man was a veteran and served other veterans here locally during his career. There's always a story behind every piece of news and information that goes out. The hardest thing and the part that takes the most discernment is how to share the information in the most helpful way for everyone. Just know I do wrestle with these things and I appreciate when people reach out to me to help add to the story and share more of the context. This man is hanging onto life by a thread. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
