The Umpqua Community College women’s volleyball team beat Mt. Hood in straight sets Friday night in a Northwest Athletic Conference southern region match.

The Riverhawks (16-9, 2-2) won their second straight conference match and fourth in a row overall as they won two nonconference matches in the last week. Kaitlen Hass who won the NWAC offensive player of the week for the conference had 10 kills and two block assists. Hass also won the southern region offensive player of the week for the second time this season. Megan Davis had 15 assists, two aces and 10 digs for the Riverhawks. Shayla Limatoc had 15 digs and three assists. Roseburg high graduates Morgan Johnson added eight kills and two block assists while Katelyn Crawford had 14 assists, one service ace and two digs. Glide graduate Johanna Pope had seven kills. McKenna Wilson had seven kills. UCC who sits in fifth place in the southern region plays at Chemeketa (10-18, 3-3) Saturday at 2 p.m. The Riverhawks host two southern region matches next weekend starting Friday against Rogue at 6:30 p.m.
