Three Found Dead in Roseburg RV, Overdose Suspected
Three individuals were found deceased in an RV at the Shady Point RV Park south of Roseburg on Sunday, September 14, 2025. A fourth person was located inside the vehicle in medical distress and transported to Mercy Medical Center. The RV park is located at 2703 Hwy 99S. According to the Roseburg Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, an officer and deputy attempted to contact the occupants of the RV at approximately 11:00 a.m. during an unrelated investigation. Based on what they observed, they entered the vehicle and discovered the four individuals. Detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team were called after evidence at the scene suggested drug use. Investigators reported signs of fentanyl and methamphetamine consumption, along with paraphernalia including scales, packaging, and records. Approximately one ounce of fentanyl and nearly two ounces of methamphetamine were recovered. Detectives believe the individuals had recently returned from a trip north of Douglas County, possibly out of state, to purchase the drugs. Officials stated there is no indication the substances had been distributed locally. The deceased were identified as 46-year-old Paul James Mohlsick, 55-year-old Kimberly Noel McCabe, and 41-year-old Bryan Charles Jarvis, all of Roseburg. The survivor, 55-year-old Shawna Renee Walker, also of Roseburg, was transported for treatment. Authorities noted the ongoing dangers of fentanyl use, citing its potency, inconsistent purity, and frequent involvement in overdoses. The investigation remains ongoing. Via DCSO
