The Indians (2-7, 0-5) played an incredible first half according to Roseburg head coach Kristin Parks. “We were really offensive and they worked so hard. It was 0-0 at halftime which was our goal,” Parks said. “They scored in the 63rd minute off a six yard shot. Immediately after that goal, Madasyn Van Acker was taken down with no foul called.” Van Acker was out until the 77th minute which hurt the Indians offense due to an injury suffered in the takedown. “I am so very proud of their efforts and intensity tonight,” Parks said. “We are so close and we do so much more with our limited numbers. Madasyn Van Acker and Amy Carpenter get kudos for their play tonight. The girls gave 100%.” Freshman Amy Carpenter had 13 saves for the Indians.
