Set scores were 25-12, 17-25, 25-15 and 25-19. Glide (8-10, 6-2) has won three straight league matches and sits in second place in the SCL. “Illinois Valley was a stronger team than when we saw them the first time,” Glide coach Stephanie Furlong said. “They returned a lot of our attacks and we had to get smart with the ball. The environment there is always tough, but the girls played their game and I was really proud of them.” Ruby Livingston had eight kills and four aces for the Wildcats. Lily Ranger had eight assists while Teagan Triplett had six kills. Kylie Anderson had six kills and Mckynzie Swain added nine assists for Glide. “It took a lot of mental toughness from our girls to overcome the atmosphere but they did it,” Furlong said. “Ruby Livingston is my captain and she is great at supporting each individual. They’re all out there playing for each other and it shows.” Glide plays Rogue River at home on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. The Wildcats have four remaining league matches, two at home and two on the road.
