(US Forest Service) As of this morning, the Umpqua National Forest has moved into EXREME Fire Danger. With these hot, dry conditions and an increase in visitors for the long weekend, campfire safety is critical. Campfires are only allowed in designated rings, found at developed campgrounds only. Never leave campfires unattended and make sure your fire is dead out when you do leave. To make sure your fire is out, drown it, stir it, and feel it before leaving.
