Active Weather Week Ahead

9:34 PM · Nov 9, 2020

(NWS) Monday and early Tuesday will start off on the drier side before a system arrives late Tuesday. There is a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain late Tuesday into early Wednesday for the west side valleys, and up to 70 percent in the Cascades. The snow level will be right around 4000 feet and snow amounts along routes 230 and 138 are expected to be between 1 and 3 inches. Veterans Day will be quiet with some clearing throughout the day. Then, we’ll have a more significant weather system arrive Thursday followed by a stronger one Friday. The details are still being hashed out, but the chances are increasing we could have higher impacts Friday with regards to moderate-to-heavy rain, snow accumulation over the higher terrain, and moderate-to-strong winds, especially at the coast and higher terrain along and east of the Cascades.
