F-15 Fighter Jets To Flyover Douglas County Fairgrounds Today
The 142nd Wing out of Portland Air National Guard Base, will conduct Veterans Day flyovers for ceremonies at locations throughout Oregon. The F-15 Eagle Fighter jets will flyover the Douglas County Fairgrounds at 11 a.m. All passes will be approximately 1,000 feet above ground level and about 400 mph airspeed. Flights could be canceled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies. 142nd Wing Commander, Colonel David Unruh, said the wing is proud to conduct the flyovers. “We are humbled to participate in honoring all those who’ve gone before us and preserved the freedoms we have today.
