Wailani Shave Ice Set To Open In Roseburg

11:21 PM · May 2, 2021

Just in time for summer, Wailani Shave Ice is set to open this coming weekend in Roseburg. The shave ice food truck will have its grand opening in Stewart Park this coming Saturday and Sunday (May 8-9) from 11 - sunset. Lan Ha, the owner, and operator of Wailani Shave Ice grew up in Douglas County starting at the age of 3. After high school, she went to Oregon State University where she pursued a career in the food and service industry. Around 2015, Lan and her family went on a trip to Hawaii where they discovered how “refreshing and satisfying” shave ice was. That began the dream to one day own and operate her own shave ice stand. Wailani is the Hawaiian name for heavenly water. It also contains Lan’s name, so it seemed like the perfect fit as the name for her new shave ice venture. The grand opening is the culmination of about a years worth of work with lots of help and support from friends and family, Lan said. Early in 2021, a trailer was purchased and they started right away getting it ready for business. Lan really wants to encourage people to come out and enjoy the park and beautiful areas with friends, then stop by for delicious shave ice.
