Temperatures To Reach High 90's In Douglas County Early Next Week

10:48 PM · May 27, 2021

Temperatures are going to begin warming on Friday and will eventually peak in the high 90's by Tuesday. Temps should remain in the 80s-90s most of next week. Water temperatures in local rivers are still a bit cool. North Umpqua River at Winchester is still in the low 60's right now, though temps should increase next week. Drought conditions have improved ever so slightly with our recent rainfall. We are now up to 31% of the normal snow water equivalent for the area. Much of Douglas County remains in extreme drought conditions and that should get worse in the next few weeks as temperatures rise.
