State Water Master Directs Sutherlin to Begin Water Restrictions

As much of Oregon continues through one of the worst droughts in memory, the Oregon State Water Master has directed Sutherlin to begin water restrictions. Lawn watering and vehicle washing of any kind is prohibited until further notice. Here is the full notice from the City of Sutherlin Friday morning: "URGENT NOTICE! THE CITY OF SUTHERLIN IS IN THE WORST DROUGHT YEAR IN MEMORY. The State Water Master has directed Sutherlin to begin water restrictions. “We’ve held off as long as we could.” City Manager, Jerry Gillham Our goal is to comply with the directive while not harming business processes.
