Oregon Sets New COVID-19 Hospitalization Record

There are now 752 Oregonians hospitalized due to the coronavirus, health officials said on Monday. This is worse than any other time in the pandemic, even before vaccines were available. In the latest numbers released today, Region 5, which is made up of Jackson and Josephine counties now has zero available ICU beds. As of Monday August 16 at noon, there are now 56 Douglas County residents hospitalized, 50 locally at CHI Mercy hospital in Roseburg.
