9:51 PM · Jun 29, 2022

The largest Tesla Supercharger Station outside of California is planned for the lot between Starbucks and Taco Bell in Sutherlin. The 51-spot charging station received a pre-application approval from the City of Sutherlin on May 25 and has until May 25 of next year to break ground on at 116 Clover Leaf Loop. Three of the spots are handicap accessible. On Tesla's website, there are 270 sites marked "coming soon" throughout the U.S. and its territories, six of those are in Oregon. The site says the target opening is in 2023. The next closest stations are in Myrtle Creek, Bandon, and Springfield. The site is near Subway, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Dairy Queen, Dakota Street Pizza, and Tractor Supply Company. The company posts that it takes 15 minutes to recharge a vehicle for 200 miles. The owner of the lot is based in Hillsboro and the applicant for the project is based in Palo Alto, California.
