Aviva Health Veteran's Day Celebration Vets & Their Pets Set to Return

4:59 PM · Oct 17, 2022

Aviva Health is once again hosting its Veteran’s Day celebration Vets and Their Pets Thursday, November 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at its Roseburg main campus located at 150 NE Kenneth Ford Drive, just north of Costco. The event wasn’t held the previous two years due to gathering restrictions related to COVID-19, and Aviva Health is eager to show its appreciation once again to those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The event will feature a complimentary lunch prepared for veterans and their families, flag ceremony and free massages. Other vendors like Douglas County Veterans Service will be on hand to share helpful information and resources with those in attendance. Veterans are also encouraged to bring their furry friends to the event. They, too, will be treated to a variety of complimentary services like rabies vaccines and basic exams offered by For the Love of Paws and the opportunity to adopt a new pet thanks to Saving Grace which is waiving adoption fees for veterans. Sutherlin Pets & Grooming will also be on hand offering complimentary basic grooming services. “As an organization, Aviva Health appreciates the service and sacrifice of our military veterans,” says Ron Harper, chief of staff of Aviva Health and himself a retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel chief logistics officer. “We couldn’t be happier to bring back Vets and Their Pets, which is a small gesture of gratitude we can share with our veterans and their families for all they’ve given to our country.” Aviva Health is currently accepting new patients.
