Diamond Complex: 10 Fires Near Diamond Lake Under New Incident Command

A new incident command team, NW7, is taking over management of the Diamond Complex of fires up near Diamond Lake. The complex is made up of at least 10 fires in the area. From the incident command briefing this morning: "The Diamond Complex is a full suppression incident utilizing strategies and tactics that provide the highest likelihood of success while mitigating risks to the responders and public. Current fires delegated to the team include the Lemolo Lake, Pine Bench, Trail Fire, Pig Iron, Watson, #249 Skookum Fire, and several emerging new starts." There appears to be at least 10 fires in the complex at this time. The most recent mapping of the fires has them at the following sizes: Pine Bench 773 acres Trail Fire 701 acres Lemolo 179 acres Watson 37 acres Sherwood 1 acre Garwood 2 acres Brodie 40 acres Trep 21 acres Pig Iron 2 acres Slide (less than an acre) More information to come as it becomes available, or new IR maps are released.
