On Friday August 16th, the Dixon Fire was 11% contained and at 1,997 acres burned. On August 20th a storm came in with cooler weather and dumped about 3/4 of an inch of rain on the fire. This is almost 41 million gallons of water. As of today, five days later, the fire is now 100% contained. Thank God for the rain! Also, big thank you to all the fire crews who worked on this fire since it started 11 days ago. We appreciate you all!
