Winter Steelhead Surge at Winchester Dam

Winter steelhead are powering through Winchester Dam in big numbers! Over the last few days, Umpqua Fishery Enhancement Derby has counted 377 fish passing through. It’s only 5 PM now, but activity has been ramping up this afternoon. On average, the peak hour has been hitting around 6 PM, so we’re expecting even more action this evening.
