Roseburg Man Places Second in Mountain Bike Endurance Race
Trevor Schissler rode 219.5 miles in 24 hours, placing second in his class (Men 23-29) and 7th overall in the World Endurance Mountain Bike Organization Americas Solo 24 hour race last weekend. "I did this event is because I have for many years been intrigued by the idea of ultra endurance events and I love biking," Schissler said. "I’ve wanted to try my hand at it for a while now. It’s fascinating what the human body is capable of when pushed beyond perceived limits. Schissler had 22.5 hours of moving time and was on the course for 24:57 and 19 laps. He raced with 77 other people. (Schissler is the one on the right in the grey shirt)
