Catch 22 Set to Close

2:27 AM · Oct 23, 2022

The former church that now houses Catch 22 Fish and Chips is for sale. The big blue building with stained-glass windows and vaulted ceilings has housed Catch 22 and previously Craft 22 Fine Dining since January 2021 and the spring of 2020 respectively. They have been involved in (re)Discover Downtown events and served fish and drink specials weekly since they opened. ”We are still open,” co-owner Kareema Radford said. “We just don't know how much longer we'll be open, since the building is for sale. We are open to possibilities for the future. Possibly a different location, possibly a food truck. We won't know until the building sells.” The 5,198-square-foot building at 809 SE Main Street is listed at $499,000. It was built in 1922 and was Jasmine’s catering and event center before the Radfords bought it. The equipment is negotiable in the sale. “We've felt honored to serve this community as caterers, as fine dining, and as your local fresh fish & chips joint,” Radford said. “We will continue to keep our doors open as long as we can.” Radford said they still anticipate catering as Craft 22 after the building sells. Radford’s husband, Nathan Radford is the co-owner and chef behind the business and has no plans to drop his passion for high-quality food anytime soon. *** Photos of Nathan Radford and the menu courtesy of Kareema Radford
